FAQ
Short answers to the questions we hear most. For step-by-step help, follow the linked pages.
Setup
What is QuillJet? A native Webflow Marketplace app that syncs your Webflow events (new orders, inventory changes, form submissions, and CMS items) into your own email tool as contacts. Start with getting started.
Which email tools can I connect? Seven: Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign, Omnisend, and GetResponse. See connecting your email tool.
Do I need code or Zapier? No. QuillJet connects directly to Webflow and to your email tool. There is nothing to install on your site and no middleware to maintain.
How do I connect Webflow? Install and authorize the app from the Marketplace, and QuillJet registers the webhooks for you. See connecting Webflow.
Which triggers are on by default? New order, inventory changed, and form submission. CMS triggers (item created and item updated) are opt-in and need a re-authorize for CMS read access.
Syncing
Does QuillJet send emails to my contacts? No. QuillJet syncs contacts into your own email tool, and that tool owns all sending. QuillJet never emails your subscribers.
Will it import my existing orders and contacts when I install? No. There is no backfill. QuillJet only syncs events that happen after your triggers are enabled. See how syncing works.
What are the delivery statuses?
pending (queued), sent (delivered to your tool), failed (an error, retried up to 5 times), and skipped (a condition was not met). You see them per event in the event log.
What happens if a delivery fails? QuillJet retries automatically with backoff (about 30s, 60s, 120s, 240s) for up to 5 attempts. If it still fails, the delivery is marked failed and the account owner is notified. You can also retry any failed delivery with one click.
Can the same contact be added twice? No. Contacts are matched (upserted) by email address, so a repeat event updates the existing contact instead of creating a duplicate. See subscribers and contacts.
Fields & mapping
What contact information does QuillJet pull out automatically?
The email address, and first and last name (it reads explicit name fields in several languages, or splits a full name). For orders it also adds ORDER_ID and ORDER_TOTAL when present. See what syncs where.
Can I map my own fields? Yes. Add your own source-to-target mappings in the rule editor, with an Automap helper to suggest matches. See field mapping.
What transforms are available?
none, lowercase, uppercase, trim, capitalize, split_first, and split_last.
Can I set a fixed value or add tags? Yes. Constants let you set a fixed value (a constant always wins over an extracted value), and you can attach tags to every synced contact. See field mapping.
Conditions
How do conditions decide whether to sync?
All conditions must pass (they are combined with AND), and an empty condition set always passes. If a condition is not met, the delivery is recorded as skipped. See conditions and filtering.
Which operators can I use?
exists, equals, not_equals, contains, gt, gte, lt, and lte.
Is a skipped delivery an error? No. Skipped means the contact intentionally did not sync because a condition was not met. It does not count against your success rate in reports.
Plans & billing
Is there a free trial? No. QuillJet is a flat monthly subscription with no free trial. You can cancel anytime.
What do the plans cost? Free $0, Growth $19, Pro $39, and Agency $79 per month, with rising limits on sites, email tools, events, and seats. See billing and plans.
Which plan has reports and white-label? Client reports are on Pro and Agency. White-label branding on those reports is Agency only. See client reports.
What happens if I go over my monthly event limit? QuillJet still stores every event, but it pauses new deliveries for the rest of the billing month. Nothing is lost, and delivery resumes next month or when you upgrade.
How does changing plans work? Upgrades charge the prorated difference immediately; downgrades credit the unused time against your next invoice. See billing and plans.
How do I cancel? Through the Stripe customer portal from the billing view. Your contacts stay in your email tool.
Data & security
Where does my contact data go? Only into the email tool you connect, at your instruction. QuillJet sends the contact (email, name, mapped fields, and tags) to that tool and nowhere else you did not choose.
Are my API keys and tokens safe? Your credentials are encrypted at rest, and Webflow webhook signatures are verified so only genuine Webflow events are accepted.
Does QuillJet override an unsubscribe in my tool? No. QuillJet upserts the contact; it does not change a contact's unsubscribe or consent state. Your email tool governs sending. See subscribers and contacts.
